Travel Beauty: Travel Candles

I love traveling but sometimes being gone for long stretches at a time can be tough. I find myself dreaming of a home-cooked meal, sleeping in my own bed and, strange as it sounds, the comfort I feel from the sights and scents of my own apartment.

Being that I can't fit my bed into a carry-on, I've found one way to bring a bit of home with me on the road - travel candles! (P.S. for more tips on how to feel at-home when you travel, check out my interview with Sara Kate Gillingham-Ryan, co-founder of Apartment Therapy.)

Henri Bendel New York Travel Candles ($15 or 3 for $38): Approved for travel in their 4-ounce pretty tins, Henri Bendel's travel candles come in several smell-so-good-you'll-want-to-eat-them scents.

Tokyomilk Travel Candles ($12): Admittedly the adorable graphics on these candles are what first drew me in, but then I saw the fragrance list: crisp apple with peaches (I Want Candy) and sugar cane with coconut milk (Let Them Eat Cake). Delicious!

Pacifica Soy Travel Candles ($4.80 on sale, $6 regularly): With scents, designs and colors inspired by far-off destinations, these travel candles are handmade with vegetable soy wax, lead-free wicks and traces of coconut, honey-jasmine and Bergamot, among other intriguing scents.

What do you do to feel at-home on the road?
