Where to Stay: Hotel Lone in Rovinj, Croatia

Finding the right souvenir from a vacation isn't easy. I've got more cheesy shot glasses in my cabinet than I know what to do with (mostly thanks to my husband). Thankfully, hotels around the world are wising up. Prostor, a new concept store at Hotel Lone in Rovinj, Croatia, sells select products from up-and-coming Croatian artists and designers. We're talking fashion and furniture, paintings and products - I've never been so excited to shop in a hotel "gift shop."

What's really cool about Prostor is that it gives local artists a fantastic platform for exposure. Featured items include Antiforms by Ivan Levak, O! Candles, and Madame Demode clothes and accessories. All products are made locally!

Hotel Lone's design is unique, too. The 248-room hotel has a Y-shaped structure and is built to resemble a sleep white ocean liner. It's a perfect complement to Rovinj's Adriatic coast location.
